ZOR is a Glasgow-based, high-energy modern Gypsy band blending traditional Roma music with funk, pop, rap, Spanish, and rock influences. Emerging from Ando Glaso’s youth programme, with support from the Youth Music Initiative, ZOR brings together talented young musicians alongside experienced mentors to create a powerful and contemporary sound rooted in Roma tradition.

Formed in 2019, ZOR developed a distinctive musical style that honours traditional Roma melodies while reimagining them through modern genres. This approach preserves cultural heritage while making it accessible and exciting for new audiences, particularly young people. By bridging generations, ZOR invites listeners to experience the timeless beauty of Roma music in a fresh and dynamic way.
